Nadia Ali – Crash and Burn (Dean Coleman Remix)

Producer, DJ and composer, Dean Coleman is a triple threat in the music industry. Dean has kept people on their feet for over 12 years in global hot spots including Brazil, Russia, Dubai, New York, Ibiza and Paris and has built a reputation for himself as a producer and composer whose trademark sounds have become sought after by famed musicians such as Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Chris Cornell, Annie Lennox, Beyonce, MIA, Timbaland, Maxwell and many more.A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Dean Coleman was put on a path to master all elements of music that came his way. Learning both classical piano and the saxophone by age 12, Dean’s foundation of musical knowledge was set at an early age. To further develop his career in music, Dean made his way to Atlanta, GA to work alongside heavy-hitters such as Miles Walker ,Sean Garrett, Usher and Elton John at the prestigious Silent Sound Studios, one of the highest maintained recording facilities in the Southeast. In 2002, Dean struck gold with a bootleg of “Narcotic Thrusts Safe from Harm,” which was later signed by Deep Dish to their Yoshitoshi imprint. Also taking notice of Dean’s accelerated technological skills and musical achievements, both Apple and PIONEER featured and profiled Dean on their website as a leader in the music industry which led to an extended relationship with PIONEER who sponsored Dean’s music and press tour with Deep Dish. In three years time, Dean had been on four Yoshitoshi releases, scored multiple internationally-recognized films and has produced/remixed for heavyweights including Harry Choo Choo Romero , Robbie Rivera, Deep Dish, Erick Morillo, Hernan Cattaneo, Josh Wink, Eddie Amador, Julie McKnight and Felix Da Housecat. In Late 2007, Dean’s remix of Alcatraz’s “Give Me Luv” topped Beatport’s U.S. sales chart and fueled the launch for his imprint label MUSICIZ. Along with the success of his remix and new label, Dean completed a series of side projects that included reinventing “Sexy Back” and “My Love” for Justin Timberlake, “Sing” for Annie Lennox and Madonna, “Scream” for Chris Cornell, “Why don’t you love me” for Beyonce, “The Reeling” for Passion Pit and more. With countless original productions, edits and remixes to his credit. Dean’s flare for cutting-edge effects and his appetite for technological knowledge has allotted him the ability forecast trends and push boundaries in the music industry. As a result, his skills have gained him recognition from the crème de la crème of the industry and most recently The Recording Academy who selected Dean’s song “I Want You” for best remixed recording earning a Grammy nomination. . Dean recently moved to New York to further his full scale productions on an even bigger level . He now calls Bass Hit Studios owned by Multi Grammy Winner and Engineering Legend Dave Darlington. In the works are multiple singles and remixes including his remix of Harry Choo Choo Romero’s “Is This Time for Goodbye” and a massive collaboration with Multi Grammy Winner Phil Tan.

Luccio – The Festvial Edition 1 Year Anniversary and Interview

This will be a long post, but it is worth the time to read and listen. All five music players are in order of how his show was. This is his 1 year anniversary for his residency and has provided heaps about of Trance/Progressive for us. Not to mention he is my BIGGEST interview that I have landed within this page. Have a look below.

Neverest Musik: Where did you get the name “Luccio” from?

Luccio: Well this was simple I was trying to change the image and it occur me that since they all call me Lucho I should stay with the same pronunciation, but with a different Writing . Now I sound more Italian than ever. lol my great grand father is, not me .

Neverest Musik: What inspired you to be a DJ and how did you separate yourself from the other DJs to be what you are today?

Luccio: Hmm this is a good question , I believe everyone now days are looking to sound the same there’s very few that are very true to their sound which I think that makes me apart from the others, which I like it because im following my roots and not whats popular or mainstream.

Neverest Musik: You were born in Miami then moved to Colombia then back to the USA. What was the purpose for leaving and coming back?

Luccio: Well, my parents are Colombian and I had family living in the US and  my parents were on vacation for a few months so they decided to have me here, then go live in Colombia. The situation in Colombia was very bad with violence and my family decided to start selling their goods to move here eventually, for our own good.

Neverest Musik: I know that you have quite a name for yourself and spending it in some of the best clubs and with big artists. What was your favorite event and what is your favorite club to play at?

Luccio: Thanks hehehe. Well, I’ve been in the South Florida scene for about 10 Years and believe it or not is a tough market.  Probably one of the biggest one if not the biggest one. South Florida is like the summer in ibiza but all year round + Adding we have easy access to the biggest festivals in the world and I have understood that right now the best market is the U.S for Dance music.  I’ve played a lot of shows with Ferry Corsten & Markus Schulz at Club Space which is my favorite place to play… I call it home, due to the fact that every person that goes there is very educated with the music , and doesn’t go bc of the VIP crowd like other places. I love Space, & for my favorite event. hmm wow thats a tought one. I have so many! I can tell you 3 of them …

1. Was with Aly & Fila @ Club Space this was early this year
2. Was with Marlus schulz @ Space aswell this was about 2/3 years ago I opened up & closed for him.
3. Was in Tallahassee with Cosmic Gate @ Coliseum Nightclub
definitely shock how crazy is their energy this was last year. ….

I can keep on going, but lol I’ll leave it as these 3 lol

Neverest Musik: What accomplishments have you exceeded and what accomplishments do you have left that you would like to achieve in the music industry?

Luccio: Well this is a good one. I mean I don’t know if being ranked on a DJ poll on a Famous Trance Forum is an achievement

Trance Addict best 250 Dj’s ranked Luccio
with over 30,000 + votes

#183 in 2008
#169 in 2009
#151 in 2010
#117 in 2011
#57 in 2012

But, I still have the world to eat… I’m a person who’s goal are always put up to the moon and stars … so theres still a long road ahead , but I think the biggest achievement is to represent the music I love and be able to pass share it on a weekly basis on my radio show. Every Sunday … it’s just like attending church. Music is life.
